Editorial policy
How Reels Downloader researches, writes, tests, updates and corrects technical download guides, including our source and AI-assisted editing rules.
Last verified: August 6, 2026
Every published guide must answer a real user task, match the product's actual capabilities, distinguish verified facts from practical inference, and state material limitations.
Authorship and responsibility
Content is published by the Reels Downloader Editorial Team. The organization is responsible for the final page, its sources and corrections. We do not invent personal experience, credentials, user counts, ratings or success rates. When a future article depends on specialist expertise, it must name the qualified reviewer and describe the review scope.
Research and source hierarchy
Platform specifications and browser behavior are checked against first-party documentation from Meta, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Mozilla or another responsible vendor whenever available. Secondary sources may help identify a question, but they do not replace a primary source for a material technical claim. Access dates appear where a source can change over time.
Product testing
Instructions must match a reproducible workflow. A test record should identify the browser, device class, content type, expected result and verification date without storing a user's full Instagram URL. We do not describe a feature as supported merely because a competitor claims it. Dynamic behavior such as parsing success is separated from static website availability.
Accuracy, limitations and prohibited claims
- No promise of 100% success, guaranteed 4K, camera-original quality or complete anonymity.
- No instructions for bypassing private-account access controls.
- No claim that a file format alone proves a particular quality level.
- No legal certainty: copyright and privacy statements are practical boundaries, not individualized legal advice.
- No structured-data ratings unless they are visible, attributable and verifiable.
AI-assisted work
AI tools may assist with outlining, editing, code checks or identifying missing questions. They are not treated as a factual source. Technical claims must still be verified against documentation or a reproducible test, and a human publisher remains responsible for the final result. Content is not bulk-generated solely to target keyword variations.
Updates and corrections
Material platform, browser or product changes trigger a review of the affected page. A modified date changes only when the visible content or its verified evidence changes. Minor formatting changes do not justify a freshness update. If you find an error, use the contact page and include the page URL, disputed statement and a source or reproduction path. Confirmed errors are corrected in the existing article instead of being hidden in a duplicate page.
Commercial independence
The current editorial pages do not contain affiliate links or paid rankings. If that changes, the relationship must be disclosed near the relevant recommendation. Advertising does not authorize claims, change rankings or bypass this policy.
